Relationships: Sophronios is a distant relative of Yazad, and also the man who took him in as a ‘servant’ at the request of the Passive’s parents.

Physical Description

Standing at 5'8", Sophronios slightly exceeds the average height that is the norm in his family. Greyish blue eyes tinted with honey-colored specks around the center sit atop a sharp nose and a set of thin lips that appear as if they are perpetually pursed in either disgust or deep thought. His strong jawline and cleft chin were common traits among the family’s males, with some occasional exceptions.

Although lacking in facial hair, Sophronios sports thick yet shapely eyebrows and a lush crown of dark brown hair framing the warm ivory of his skin. The naturally intense stare he has often made some people view Sophronios -often from afar- as irritable or supercilious. While his expression is rare to change, those who are close to Sophronios -all two of them- know that his visage does his potential for warm interactions a slight disservice.

Sophronios tends to dress smartly, for he knows the importance of making a visual statement. Although, he allows himself some degree of being unkempt in the privacy of his own home. He favors darker shades of blue, green, and purple for accent with his mostly black suits.

Personality

Aloof: Sophronios is often a distant person in many ways. Very rarely does the man find himself wanting to get close to another--physically or emotionally. His wandering mind also contributes to his general disassociation with his immediate surroundings most of the time.

Intellectual: The highly cerebral galdor views life through a different lens than most. Instead of things like hopes, dreams and aspirations, Sophronios sees variables, parameters, and innovative potential. His extreme academic brilliance seems to have completely overpowered its necessary counterpart; emotional intelligence.

Amoral: To Sophronios, the achievement entirely justifies the means. If given the chance, the man would have no qualms about practicing some manipulation or performing dubious experimentations if it means reaching a desired scientific breakthrough. Still, Sophronios knows his limits, and he would not -openly- cross the threshold of what is legal if only to not get into trouble that would hinder his studies.

Unconventional: Sophronios is mostly known in galdor social circles for NOT being what a galdor should be. Though that reputation stands true, the man is isolated from society by choice and not for any inability from his part to handle social interactions. In the scarce occasions where he would be in the company of galdor peers and is made to express his opinions, what the man says will often cause more brows to rise than it will garner him any agreement. Sophronios has no tolerance for that which he considers being ‘vapid’, which includes things such as marriage, entertainment, and politics.

Sophronios is not politically outspoken, and he cannot be bothered to care about something as banal as racial differences or maintaining the galdor pride. He views everyone as equally unimportant until he has a reason to think otherwise. To him, it is not magical aptitude that sets individuals apart, but rather the quality of their minds. If even the lowliest of humans can prove themselves to be clever, Sophronios will spare a shred of care and respect for them.

Past & Present History

Sophronios led a rather uneventful life for, well, all of his life.

Born the first child to Damianos Logarchon; an ambitious inventor and Phaedra; a woman who had no life outside of her marital and parental obligations, Sophronios was raised with both care and indifference. His needs were always swiftly met, and his wants no less provided. His father would sooner pay attention to an intriguing piece of metal than his child, which -surprisingly- did not hurt Sophronios as much as it might have another child. On the other hand, his mother overlooked his basic needs as though she was fulfilling a duty that she did not want to be saddled with. There was love there from both of them, surly--but it barely showed as anything other than another gift or a passing word of praise. Eventually, he had reached some level of adult awareness that allowed him to start speculating. His mother and father have probably married out of some arrangement that neither one of them found appealing. Was it out of obligation that they felt the need to go along with this union? Was it simply them going through the expected life progression that being a galdori entailed? Back then, Sophronios thought about it briefly, and then his mind dictated that the reason did not matter. It was a bore to the boy who did not care that much in the first place, and he found himself seeking questions that are more mentally stimulating than his bland familial ties.

Much to his father’s pride, Sophronoios passed his initiation test with satisfactory numbers and seemingly no effort at all. It was around that time that the second Lograchon child was born. Sophronios found himself the older brother for a boy who, unlike him, was laughing from the crib to the classroom. Noelios, the younger of the two, grew up to be outgoing and extremely gregarious. As years went by, Sophronios’ academic interests grew more and more prominent, causing him to favor attending Anastou classes to social gatherings designed to make the next batch of young galdori fall into the trap of marriage. But no, not him. He had loftier plans for his future than to just father a number of children and discuss trivialities in posh parlors. There were times when Sophronios intentionally displayed his anomalous antics or steered things to shed a favorable light on Noelios to divert attention from himself. He wanted none of this, he wanted no part in the mind-numbingly boring existence of high society members. The two brothers -while completely different both in mentality and personality- got along rather swimmingly. By the time Sophronios had graduated, he and his brother managed to convince his parents that the older sibling was better off in a villa of his own at the outskirts of Florne, where he can continue his hermetic life of research and spare them the embarrassment of sulking through all the parties that he was made to forcefully attend.

Relieved and inwardly delighted, Sophronios was quick to pass over the full weight of family expectations to his brother; the only person whom he had ever formed any bond with.

Years later, the man’s life of secluded peace was shattered again with the arrival of a child that he was asked to take in.

The arrangement was made with initial wariness and a fair amount of reluctance. Sophronios had been doing well on his own so far, with an elderly housekeeper as his only daily connection to people. His cousin Achileas -the Passive’s father-, however, made the tempting offer of providing regular funding to the scientist who had a ravenous appetite for knowledge and information.

The deal was agreed upon by Sophronios without much thought about the child himself, and it was that moment in which he realized that he, the family’s odd apple, did not fall too far from the tree that was his father.

Strangely enough, Sophronios did not end up loathing the interactions with Yazad as much as he thought he would.

He now has two people whom he silently cares for.

- A rather finicky Passive.
