Relationships: Shepherd is linked to Monica Delacore. He is an adversary of sorts; his peaceful methods infuriate her more than violence, and they often run into each other on the Viendan streets - he has been the victim of her rather brutal physical violence more than once, but he is never discouraged. That being said, Shepherd will eventually become more of a part in Lars Savatier's life than anyone else's.

Physical Description

Shepherd is perhaps not seen as immediately-galdori as the majority of his race, but still his features and form are graceful and lithe. While he doesn't have the body to be as stocky or as tall as a human, he is still subtly-muscled and toned from years of physical labor.

His wavy hair is kept at about chin length at most and ear's length at its shortest; dirty blonde locks highlighted with lighter strands throughout from days spent in the sun. Likewise his skin is tan, and scars of all kinds are scattered about his form, found mostly on his elbows and his shins from burns and reckless stunts.

Shepherd's eyes are a steely blue, his lips are full, and though freckles don't make an appearance as densely as his fellow Anaxi, he still has the occasional freckle here and there.

Typically found in plain, light-colored shirts or sweaters, his clothes are almost always dirty; smudged with grease or splashed with sauces from the kitchen.

Personality

Never having been one for violence or argument, Shepherd lives his life as peacefully as he can. He chooses kindness in all things, and though he is most often met with anger and confusion and ignorance, he cannot help but forgive them for their misguidance. To Shepherd, hatred and cruelty and inequality simply make no sense, and to see him harm or speak harshly against another living creature would be to see him lose himself completely.

Where some might choose to debate or even insult those that disagree with them, he always tries to explain his side, but never pushes his own opinions or tears down those opposing.

Shepherd has a genuine love in his heart for everyone - and every race.

The humans are his non-magical companions; a hardy and resilient people that he admires for their strength and determination through adversity. He believes humans should be able to educate themselves and their children without fear of persecution. He disagrees with the methods of the resistance, but at the same time is inspired by their efforts and still wishes to join them despite his rejection.

Wicks, similarly, deserve formal educations and access to all of Anaxas. Unlike many of his kind, Shepherd doesn't see the union between human and galdor as unholy or abhorrent in any form, and finds the many nomadic cultures fascinating.

Although he hasn't been around any to his knowledge, passives aren't a terrifying idea to Shepherd. Naturally there is a small sliver of fear; a worry for diablerie, but he doesn't think it a justifiable cause to lock them away and force them into servitude.

The only race that can truly irritate him is his own. He wasn't raised among them, wasn't taught the way that they were, wasn't brought up in a household that held galdori values highly, and in all honesty he finds them a bit too uptight and cold for his taste. He is still kind and polite at all times when interacting with galdorkind, but if given the choice, Shepherd would take the company of humans and wicks over that of his own kind.

Past & Present History

Shepherd was born in Old Rose Harbor to a visiting farmer from Vienda - Baudric Prescott - and a prostitute known only as Rese. His mother was never fond of the idea of children, and her misuse of contraceptives brought her a son that she gladly neglected. Baudric never knew of his birth, returning back to his farm near the outskirts of Dorhaven never to return. The child was given up to those more interested in his life, or rather, what it could be used for, and Shepherd spent the majority of his twenty-three years working the docks.

However, a desire to join the human resistance brought him to Vienda, where he now works in a factory. Shepherd spends his time outside of work helping out in various taverns in the city, and when he has his own time, conducts peaceful protests - which are always shut down. He has been to jail more than once for his repeated "insolence", but has never actually committed any crimes and has never spent a long period of time behind bars.

He has attempted to join the resistance before, but has only ever run into those unwilling to look past his heritage and has been rejected each time. Though he is a galdor, Shepherd never received any education, never learned Monite, and has never used magic in his life, not even venturing to try.

Career and Income

Factory worker

Although he spends a lot of time conducting protests against Seventen brutality and galdori oppression, as well as helping out in the kitchens of various taverns, he is employed in a factory in Vienda. He mainly does the heavy-lifting, and occasional maintenance when things go wrong.

Income: Destitute

His wages from the factory hardly allow Shepherd a life of luxury, or any kind of comfortable life at all.

Housing and Inventory

Housing: Scrappy apartment

Scraping by with the little he makes, Shepherd resides in a small, 200 sq. ft. apartment. It is dingy, dirty, and has little more than an old, ripped sofa and an even older mattress that remains on the floor.

Inventory

Shepherd doesn't have much of an inventory. He does have a small variety of tools that he takes home from the factory.
