Physical Description

Image

Kaelum is of average height for a Gioran galdor, standing at an impressive 6'4" with a narrow build and very well-sculpted features. Unlike his other siblings, he is not an albino, instead possessing pale skin, near-white platinum hair that is wavy instead of straight, and icy blue eyes. He is graceful and prefers to dress according to his coveted status as son of a Da Huane regardless of his somewhat black sheep role in his own powerful family.

Personality

Kaelum is best described as an academic. He is aloof, judgmental, and as stoic as any other Gioran is raised to be. He is passionate, however, and often far more emotional than his people are usually receptive to. He experiments for the sake of experimentation and he finds the confines of the noble uses of magic archaic and unnecessary.

He is aware that his progressive, insatiable inquisitive nature has worn on his family over the past several years, and he has slowly begun to disassociate himself from the spotlight his father and Da Huane tribal members tend to find themselves in, instead choosing to lose himself in the Temple and in his studies in Qrieth.

An amicable teacher who seems to have an unnerving ability to endure any lengthy onslaught of questions, Kaelum is patient and eager to pass on his knowledge to those who call themselves is colleagues and students. He is most at home in the classroom and hardly comfortable at all in public situations.

PERSONALITY
INTJ | The Architect
With a natural thirst for knowledge that shows itself early in life, Architects are often given the title of “bookworm” as children. While this may be intended as an insult by their peers, they more than likely identify with it and are even proud of it, greatly enjoying their broad and deep body of knowledge. Architect personalities enjoy sharing what they know as well, confident in their mastery of their chosen subjects, but they prefer to design and execute a brilliant plan within their field rather than share opinions on “uninteresting” distractions like gossip.
More Because it's TrueShow
A paradox to most observers, Architects are able to live by glaring contradictions that nonetheless make perfect sense – at least from a purely rational perspective. For example, Architects are simultaneously the most starry-eyed idealists and the bitterest of cynics, a seemingly impossible conflict. But this is because Architect personalities tend to believe that with effort, intelligence and consideration, nothing is impossible, while at the same time they believe that people are too lazy, short-sighted or self-serving to actually achieve those fantastic results. Yet that cynical view of reality is unlikely to stop an interested Architect from achieving a result they believe to be relevant.

Rules, limitations and traditions are anathema to the Architect personality type – everything should be open to questioning and reevaluation, and if they see a way, Architects will often act unilaterally to enact their technically superior, sometimes insensitive, and almost always unorthodox methods and ideas.

Past & Present History

Image

Kaelum is Lomemak Da Huane 's middle son and somewhat a black sheep of the Da Huane family name. He has recognized his own shortcomings as a Gioran and chosen to focus on his studious, magical pursuits instead of having anything to do with politics. Because of his position as a professor of Physical Conversation, he has recently come into contact with Nauleth Siordanti upon his arrival in Qrieth from the Kingdom of Anaxas.

While the two were not immediate friends, their shared passion for magical experimentation and eagerness to learn the secrets of the Deep and other lost magical knowledge, they have begrudgingly formed an intricate and respectable relationship as colleagues and ... well ... friends.

Career and Income

Occupation

Kaelum is a Professor of Physical Conversation in the Temple of Qrieth.

Income: Wealthy

Technically, Kaelum has no need for money as his family, the Da Huanes, are currently ruling all of Gior and have done so for well over a century. He makes a salary as a professor but simply shoves it somewhere in the bank and thinks nothing of it.

Housing and Inventory

Housing: Upperton

Having chosen to live apart from his father's household in order to keep the peace between himself and those who don't approve of his somewhat emotional, rebellious nature, Kaelum lives in his own impressive apartment in Upperton with plenty of servants.

Inventory

There is really nothing Kaelum finds himself lacking.
