VIENDA, KINGDOM OF ANAXAS | 76th of YARIS, 2719
Resistance Leader Body Found
by Gregor Stalwit
Seventen Officers have confirmed that earlier this morning, a body was found in the Arova River just past The Bastian Theatre, and whilst violently mutilated there is enough evidence to confirm that it is in fact the body of the notorious Jon Serro.
Commander Hanz Morde released details of the man who was found dead in the River as they continued to investigate how he died and how he came to be in the river.
Serro, who has been the known leader of the violent criminal organisation known as The Resistance, was a human male. He served a number of years in the Anaxas Armed Forces, and was honorably discharged after receiving near fatal injuries in the Hessean Altercations. Commander Morde advised that the man had been viciously attacked before being thrown in the River by assailants unknown. Serro’s was infamously missing an eye, and sources confirm the body indeed had an empty socket where an eye had been.
High Judge Azmus attended the address at the Courthouse steps this morning, calling out the death as a win for the galdori public.
“We have confirmed it, on excellent authority that Jon Serro, infamous terrorist and threat to national security, is deceased." He advised this morning at the 7 on the Clock public address.
"His body was found in the Arova. To spare the faint of heart from the details, we shall say no more, but it is clear that he was murdered. You have nothing more to fear from him," High Judge Azmus continued, "Serro was a known criminal, and the instigator of the vile attack on Dorhaven. With Captain Damen D’Arthe and Commander Hanz Morde, we suspect the pressure our fine Seventen Officers have been placing on known Resistance members sent a ripple of unease through their numbers, and Serro’s own people attacked and murdered him. This is a good day for us, [and] a good day for Anaxas. ”
Seventen were called to the river upstream near The Bastian Theatre when member of the public reported the grim find to officers just after 2 on the Clock.
Patrol Division members recovered the body, about 20 yards east of the footbridge, a house later.
The man was described as Anaxi, human, aged between 50 and 60 years old, with a solid build, dark greying hair and one missing eye.
Seventen are calling forward anyone who may have seen anything on the evening of the 75th.
Stay tuned to the Vienda Weekly, as we continue to report on this story as more unfolds.
