Physical Description

Peter has dark wavy hair with the occasional strand of silver breaking from his crown, he has a thick layer of stubble that covers his narrow weathered face. He has a thicker set of eyebrows, ones that he would often raise if he is curious or his attention is drawn to something, with a pair of dark beady eyes within them. He has a waned Northern Anaxas accent; despite this, he often speaks very clearly and articulates his words well - he only uses contractions when quoting someone directly or in a stressful situation.

As a more city-bound Wick, Peter generally adopts the duller and more subdued tones the humans often wear, favouring shirts, trousers, vests and overcoats, often in an attempt to draw less obvious attention to himself. His frame is light, but strong - his fellow peers would describe him as willowy - with long, dextrous fingers. It is clear from the faded scars that he has worked with fire in the past and clearly focuses on maintaining a healthy and flexible form.

When fighting he is quick and acrobatic, using the terrain around him to his advantage to avoid attacks or to quickly takedown opponents. He uses street combat, which would be considered not suitable or "of etiquette" for arena fighting.
CombatShow
For real-world equivalents, Peter uses a mixture of Capoeira and Krav Maga. These are styles that focus on non-resistance, meaning they are about avoiding attacks instead of blocking them - and then only blocking when avoidance is non-viable. They are also both styles good for use in street combat while allowing movement, quick counterattacks and facing multiple adversaries at once. More specifically, Capoeira uses more acrobatic techniques (rolls, cartwheels and flips) to overcome takedowns and balance loss, while primarily using kicks and sweeps to take out opponents. Krav Maga focuses on Physical Aggression, targeting vulnerable points, using any objects that are at hand to hit an opponent, and using simple and easily repeatable strikes. This is while maintaining awareness to look for escape routes and further attackers.

Personality

On the surface, most would describe Peter Henderson is better described as a Grey Fox - he is smooth and flirty with his words, and while he once used such a talent to fill a depression that existed in him, he realised he could use it to get information out of the men and women he used it on. Peter himself does not indulge in drinking or smoking, believing they cloud his mind and prevent him from being as effective as he could be. As such he is the sort to buy himself a single drink and nurse it for the entire duration (and even then, not necessarily finish it).

Outside of these suave tendencies, those who get to know Peter would know him to observant from years as working as an intelligence gatherer for the resistance. He is capable of making snap decisions on the fly, from his years in espionage and making the daring stunts to escape trouble were broken bones or death was a real possibility. For those who end up beside or beneath him, Peter is often a hard teacher - he is aware his work is hard and bloody, and as such his teaching method is often the same with him pushing his peers and students to their limits to bring what is needed out of them.

Most importantly though, Peter is loyal: second only to the ideals and goals of the Resistance, but first to the relationship he had with Beckett Saunders and now the one he shares with Gale. He is not the sort to leave his peers to perish if he can afford it, and those who do fail he will always try to pick up the pieces with.

Past & Present History

Peter was once the youngest member of the so-called "Dirty Dozen", the irresponsible humans and wicks who came together and left the legacy of the firearm. When the group split and went its separate ways, he followed after the then much younger Beckett Saunders - having grown up with the human in Northern Anaxas and becoming as close as brothers. It was beneath the skilled Gunsmith that the young Wick gathered a clearer understanding of forge work and design - though still remained several steps behind that of his peer in skill. But as time went on and the manifestation that was Gunner came to haunt Anaxas, young Peter Henderson became Teeter - the second and spotter of Gunner. It was together these old friends haunted the streets and performed the dirty work of the Resistance in one form or another. Because of this, Peter's loyalty was sole to Gunner - and he continued to aid the human through the years, following him even to Brayde country to investigate the plantations there.

He tried to not be too bitter when Beckett found some comfort in Yelenn, but he stood beside the man he called brother when she died. He did his best to help Beckett, but with the death of his wife and the raising of a troubled child, he saw the dark shadow that remained of the man. For a while Peter drifted, using the skills he gained while working with Gunner to better the resistance. He turned to spy work and espionage, slipping across rooftops and disappearing from windows before anyone had a chance to stop him. Sometimes he returned to his old friend's side for a dash of bloody work or played a sort of distant Uncle figure to the young Gale, but as time went on they grew more distant while the rumours of the prowling nightmare called Gunner grew.

When the news of Beckett dying came to him. He made the long trek back to Vienda, helping Gale bury his old friend's body and promising the shaken teen that if they ever needed help all they had to do was ask. Ensuring the apprentice smith was settled in their work, Peter went on his way once more catching only snippets of rumours that once was. He continued to serve the resistance, filling the void left by Beckett's death with mere fleeting moments of romance. In time it became apparent he was the last of the Dirty Dozen left alive, and with it, the last of his attachments of the world began to fade.

At least, until the rumours that Gunner had become active once more in Vienda reached him. At first, he thought it was nothing but stories, tellings of a haunting long past - but the more he listened, the more he realised they were new. It became an even stranger when a message reached him directly from the very person he thought to be dead had become the new leader of the Resistance.

Gunner.

He had little choice then but to return to the city and to where it all began to get the answers. The result? The young Artful had grown up and now wanted his once offered help to become the Gunner Beckett was.

And it was a request Peter could not refuse.

Skills

Peter is a Resistance agent, serving firstly is in the art of Espionage: for him this involves gathering information in social environments as a charmer, and obtaining it through more underhand methods (including breaking and entering). To get into places he is not welcome (or escape them and the trouble he finds), he has learned to scale his surroundings and take the routes over rooftops to elude his adversaries. To protect himself he has learned some martial art styles to quickly eliminate foes and move on. Additionally while working as Gunner's second and spotter, and later as a blood worker, he developed some basic understanding of firearms and short blades. Peter is very capable of killing.

Because of his shared past with Beckett Saunders, he has some basic understanding of the forge (primarily as a welder) - as such he can pose as a metalworker stand-in for basic pieces (if he was so inclined).

As a wick, he has a basic understanding of the Spoke's Almanac and Tricks. He understands and speaks Tek and Estuan and would be considered fluent in both. He has a conversational understanding of Sign language and Monite.
