Plot Notes
Character Development & Storylines
Palis is a dreamer with big goals and dreams he wants idealistically fulfill.
CURRENT GOALS
CAREER
-win political office
-work on plague and containment of Resistance violence

ROMANTIC
-meet some hotties
The only family that remains for Palis is his cantankerous father, Kilapu Ainu. They are not at all close, but blood and pride force the two of them to begrudgingly remain tied to each other. Kilapu is deeply disapproving and pessimistic and clashes with Palis’ need for approval and optimism.
There are two servants of the Ainu home that Palis holds with regard equivalent to that of a respected family member. Edwin is an old and strict passive butler who has almost always been a father figure to Palis. Zephyr is a mute human gardener now in his early 30s who has always been a friend and comfort to Palis despite his race.
Palis has better luck in the realm of friends than family. In school, Palis met JJK, a boy who helped him in the face of taunts. He also met Wendell a strict and (in Palis’ sensitive opinion) caustic tutor. Later in life, he met Drezda Ecks in the fields of politics, but he wouldn’t consider the two friends. Perhaps his greatest friendship thus far has been with Aurelien LeClair. Palis met the taller man at a party on the LeClair estate, and circumstance led to the two becoming rather close in one night. However, they have since drifted apart.
Palis is a lovely bisexual man, a fact he found in the middle of his Brunnhold years. Currently, he is currently recovering from the loss of budding love with Aurelien Leclair.
The most threatening antagonist in Palis’ life is his father. Kilapu is not a physical or detrimental threat, but Palis’ constant seeking of the man’s fleeting approval has proved tiresome. The man has luckily come to approve Palis’ choice of politics as much as one could expect Kilapu to approve of anything.
This far politically, Palis Ainu has established himself as Conservative and works as an intern under Hadrian Siordanti, a man he admires so much that Drezda wondered internally whether or not Hadrian was having an affair with Palis outside of his marriage. Yet, as the plague fails to be contained, Silas Hawke pulls more strings in the government, and the Resistance bubbles beneath it all, Palis has decided to, with a more open mind, do his own first-hand amateur detective work.
