Business Name: Bear and Boot

Description of the Business: The Bear and Boot resides on the border of Castle Hill and Berret Park, upon some street corner that overlooks the road towards the Bean. A shingled mansard roof hangs over the street, a pair of sash windows gracing the street sides marking the home of the resident Barkeep. The rest of it is a dirty, white painted brick. Outside is a single wood painted sign with a red bear and a notably large boot sitting upon its crown, hangs from a wrought iron bar. Lead-lined windows of faded yellow adorn the outside, an archway sitting right upon the corner of the building with a couple of steps leading up to a large door, it too having the same lead-lined window within its surface.

The interior is best described as enclosed. Open with very little in regards to nooks or private little corners. There is the faintest odor of spilt alcohol mingled in with smoke, the walls adorned with lanterns to cast light around the room. Tankards hang from hooks on the wall, each stamped with a bear wearing a boot and marking them as property of the Pub.

Against the northern wall sits a stone hearth, blackened from the fires that burned within over the years. From it runs two, long tables with scraped and chipped surfaces, a set of benches between them. A bare corner stands by the windows, a small raised platform large enough for a musician to stand upon and perform - on the basis they liaise with the Barkeep first.

Finally along the back wall stands the all important bar; simple in design, wooden and varnished a dark colour. It is not uncommon to see a grey cat upon the bar top, lazily looking at those who enter the establishment.. Behind it sits a steep set of steps leading upstairs; beneath it a deep rack, a variety of tapped kegs clearly on display, with other bottles neatly lined up on adjacent shelves. A keen eye however, would notice the narrow trap door that leads down into the basement - a store for the stock not on display.
