With wavy, reddish-blonde hair, pale skin, and a short, 5’4” stature, Palis stays true to the expected appearance of an Anaxi galdor. However, one may notice the imperfect heterochromia of his left eye, leaving a brown island in otherwise dull, round, blue-grey eyes. Around his eyes, a splotchy rosacea lights up an otherwise pale, shaved, and youthful face, dancing red tulle over a round nose, flat cheeks, and pointed chin.
Palis, though average in height, is gawky and long-limbed in comparison with his torso and slender hands and feet. He does his best to find jackets, shirts, and trousers that stretch down the length of his limbs without stretching his budget but is often left with a bare forearm or ankle should a hand be raised or seat be taken. He takes pride in his fashion, however, refusing to wear the dull blacks, navies, greys, and browns of his father’s taste and instead choosing the chartreuse, magenta, and indigo of his own.
Palis is a big dreamer, but not without the will to get to each dream. He is an incredibly hard worker, making up for many lacking talents with the willingness to practice, restart, and try again until he is successful. He is organized and tidy, and, though often wounded by small criticisms, he takes the advice of those he respects, admires, or competes with incredibly seriously in order to improve himself.
Alone, Palis is quiet, focused, and prey to the mania of self-loathing. He believes that many depend on him to be a constant, light-hearted companion, and he doesn’t want to burden others with any of the common fears of early-adulthood: loneliness, death, failure, and simply not doing or being enough.
Though he may not publicly express it, Palis does feel some pity for humans, passives, and wicks alike. He does, however, tell himself that humans, wicks, and passives are best served and protected under the jurisdiction of the galdori.
Tragedy is thought to coax the voice of mona out of the most reluctant galdor, yet, the child could not produce even a spark while he and his mother were jumbled and thrown in what Palis can only remember to be the fear, the carriage, and the feeling of the ground on his face before weeks of tears and black dress and processions.
Palis scored a two on his admissions test, and he cherishes that two despite how low a score it was. In Brunnhold, Palis could be more than the son his father did not look at, more than a motherless child pitied at tea. Though not easily, Palis managed just above average marks with studying and tutors. The boy came to enjoy and make good marks in static and perceptive conversation, as well as his politics and history courses.
In his later years of schooling, Palis met Incumbent Siordanti and was fortunate to make a good enough impression to be taken as an intern whilst still studying.

One of the most prominent goals in Palis’ mind is to cast off the shadow of his father’s success. He wants to no longer hear, “Ainu, you say? Are you Kilapu’s boy?” He wants the world to know Palis Ainu for his achievements, not his father’s.
Palis would like to spend his internship researching the Resistance first hand. Boy detective, out!
More personally and short-term, Palis would like to become more comfortable and apt with living alone. He would like to make friends that care to keep in touch after the party ends. He wouldn’t mind a companion, a soulmate, whether that be romantically or platonically. He would like to make connections to further his career.
