Sednai can be described quite simply: long.
Her body is long, straight, and svelte as if the willows themselves had stopped their weeping to weave a child from their ropes of leaves. She measures an unremarkable 5’10”, and all 70 inches of her body are devoid of even the slightest feminine curve. Her arms and legs are long with knobby joints and heavy hands and feet that seem to keep her slender frame from blowing away. Her long, thin fingers are subject to twitches, just itching to take in the language the world speaks through texture. The sharp edges of Sednai’s jaw and brow leave long shadows cutting through the canvas of her freckled complexion, shadows that, when paired with her dark, straight brows, bring drama and excitement to the typically placid face. Above her face, a clean but chaotic mess of dark curls, choppily cut to fall somewhere around her collar bones, animate with their own life and gravity.
Sednai is not one to stand out or be compared to beautiful, dainty things. Her hair is a deep brown-black, like fresh spring soil. Her skin is tanned by years in the street’s dirt and flecked with a mapped archipelago of brown freckles. Her eyes are a shimmering brown, like freshly polished shoes. Her skin is mottled only by a raised brand on her neck, once a distinct seal, now little more than an ugly circle.
Despite her status as a lowly human, Sednai walks and conducts herself with pride. She’ll hold her head up until she is whipped into submission. Otherwise, her back is straight, her eyes are unafraid, and her chin is raised. She is able-bodied and fast, though not especially strong.
First impressions count, and Sednai’s first impression often leaves her seeming stupid. Sednai’s speech, riddled with holes where letters she found unnecessary once sat, sounds uneducated – which, of course, is not untrue. She lacks an understanding of some large words and can read, write, and spell at the level of a galdor child. Though typically honest, Sednai is skilled in formulating quick lies to protect herself and others. An only child and servant from birth, Sednai is not especially adept at reading people, except for their satisfaction or anger with her work. In more personal relationships, she struggles.
Though once forced to be quiet, Sednai now loves to show off a gap-toothed smile and gap-toothed words. She is observant and loves to point out the small beauties of the world that she fears others overlook- beetles, butterflies, bark, and birdsong all included.
Despite the people she has lost, the times she's been hurt, and the world around her, Sednai chooses to be happy in as many situations as she can and to continue to try and find good in everyone around her because they're all made of the same beauty she finds in the world. She subconsciously holds herself unreasonably accountable for every human, passive, and Wick she meets.
Sednai is Resistance through and through, though she wishes for Resistance without killing or hurting. She does not yet see the gollies as a terrible threat, but rather a people who need to recognize her own.
Born as Charlotte “Lotta” Bradwick, Sednai’s birth was nearly unnoticed by the world. Her mother, a teenage servant named Maria, had merely hushed the child, strapped her to her back, and returned to work as a kitchen servant the next morning. She was a good, obedient worker who believed she belonged to servitude, and she was satisfied with that. From birth, Lotta learned her mother’s quiet obedience; her first words came late as she was always hushed by the tight-lipped Maria.
In childhood, the child was beat, scolded, and starved into a submission that did not come. She watched friends be taken away, watched whips and paddles, and watched it knowing she could not stand it much longer. After one-too-many mistakes, the nine-year-old was no longer protected by the name and home of the galdor family she served. She was branded and turned out as a punishment, and, from the burned ashes of Lotta Bradwick came Sednai Igaluk.
For a time, Sednai was a thief and pickpocket among the dogs and children of Viendan alleys, if only to make enough money to escape to the Stacks. With a new identity and life, she took up what she knew- serving. In the Stacks, Sednai admired the Resistance from afar. On a visit to Vienda with her master, Sednai stole away, joined the Resistance for a night and has been smitten ever since.
In Loshis, 2720, Sednai, frustrated with the quiet of the Resistance, planned to quit serving in the Stacks and moved what little she has back into Vienda after over a decade, determined to help bring the Resistance back.

Currently, Sednai is on a mission to round up anyone who has left or fallen out of the Resistance and bring them back into the fold. She wishes to be a leader and shepherd of the Resistance and do some good with whatever time she has left.
Long-term, Sednai would like to reunite with childhood friends, learn to read and write with some semblance of prose, and, only if the Resistance succeeds, raise a family, even if not by blood.
