Jenson's mother always told him that he had his father's looks; the dark red hair and rich, almond-shaped, yellow eyes crowned by a broad forehead. But unlike his father, the hair was gentle waves and curls, flicking to and fro wildly with a thick pair of expressive eyebrows. His face was different too, a defined, rectangular jawline covered in a thin layer of stubble. He was graced by formed cheek bones and the freckles that traced them.

His form often stands relaxed, enough so that it is prone to leaning against surfaces when they are available. Wiry, covered in well worn clothing pulled together in an attempt to make himself look tidy and official enough. A grey collarless shirt, patched at the elbows and darned along other edges. Sleeves rolled up to his elbows, the rest of it tucked into his trousers, held up by a sturdy pair of bracers. Cracked leather boots were the finishing touch, laced up and barely passing his ankles - marking the end of his lanky form.

While he may appear youthful still a closer inspection would reveal his tried and tested lifestyle. The few small scars, lines across his forearms, the faintest line of white that crossed the right side of his lip. The small bump in the bridge of his otherwise broad nose where it was broken in his youth. Beneath his eyes lay tired skin, faint grey tones caused by the late nights of work and would squint as they uncomfortably adjusted to daylight.

When ever first meeting him, Jenson's voice is often described as soft; no doubt a side effect from his upbringing. Raised in an environment of gentle tones, all designed not to be overly jarring he has learned to keep a low, level pitch and maintain it. Despite being throaty, - husky some may say- there is a slight droll in it when he is at work, and many would believe that he is unable to raise his voice to any particular volume - it is quiet the opposite. For when the bar becomes rowdy, the street busy or the Wick riled, the rough tones rip forth without hesitation.

From a young age, Jenson was always described as independent. He always knew what he wanted to do, and was more than happy to do it by himself. It did not mean that he shirked any social occasions, it was quite the opposite in fact. He was more than capable of flashing a quick smile, bearing his teeth and seemingly brimming with energy. It is simply a matter that he is used to looking after himself, as opposed to relying on others and the rules they may bring. He is - as far as he is concerned - a master of his own fate, and he will tightly grasp whatever he can get his hands on.

To him, the world is abundant with noise, brightly coloured with emotions and sensation that are meant to be explored. A place where everything is connected, tied together by a collection of threads that simply need to be followed. There is no irrelevant action, every move is part of something bigger. Even in the smallest, seemingly unconnected piece would eventually tie in somewhere - it was merely a matter of finding out where. As such, it is not unknown for him to at least attempt to read between the lines, ever curious and eager. The same comes to ideas, unafraid to step outside his comfort zone to try new things. Communication is merely another way for him to find out more, an exchange of ideas and connections. Be it simple small talk or something more meaningful, it all builds a mental library of information in which to delve into. The world is meant to be experienced, and the people in it will help him achieve that - knowingly or not.

However, with such an active and hungry mind comes the risk of over thinking - Jenson is no exception. For while everything is connected, in some way or another, comes the realisation that even the smallest, most insignificant thing must have some underlying motive. A way in which is designed to catch him out or cause him to stumble, or make him loose focus on what is truly important in the day to day routine. Even those he knows well, should he choose to rely on his intuition, can be misread - something that can knock him mentally off balance and chip at his self-esteem. Stress inducing, more so when the potential motive strikes against something close to him and his identity. He is, as his mother would put it, a sensitive boy; prone to aggressive emotional outbursts when under a high amount of pressure, that normally prove to be more destructive instead of anything useful.

Such times to calm however take time, but when he does finally reach a stable level the enthusiastic free spirit returns once more to try the world once more.

GaldoriJenson has a lot of disgust for the Galdori and far from a good opinion of them. For the moment he sees them all without exception as corrupt slave drivers that live on the work of the society beneath them that will manipulate and use all they can get their hands on. As such, he does not trust them.
WicksWhile a Tsat, Jenson was brought up with some city Wick influence. For the most part he takes all of them in a case by case basis - knowing that there is measures of both good and bad in all of them.
HumansJenson has no overall strong opinion on Humans. Much like Wicks, he takes them on a case by case basis.
RaenThe things of nightmares and something to be feared. He wishes they were little more than horror stories told to children to make them behave before bed.

Jenson was born behind one of the many brothels of Old Rose Harbor. Squawking and screaming as he came into the world, he was cradled by his Mother - a Human known as Clara Smyth - while the dirge of the world around them continued. A collection of bold colours and powerful scents was his nursery, his earliest years little more than a blur among the gaudy surround. With it came the workers, the inhabitants that formed the obscure group he called his family, forming the figures of aunts and uncles. A stigma came with it of course, being recognized as a Whoreson made him learn to fight back early - more so as his obvious heritage began to take form.

When he was old enough he found out the truth from his mother; he was some byproduct between Galdor and Maidservant. To them, she had been nothing more than a plaything and one that was thrown aside the moment he discovered the inconvenience that had come into fruition. Within that caused a burn, finding resentment and anger in those above him and the system the built, and his own particular self loathing with the knowledge of what existed in his veins.

It was an elder Wick, who the family commonly known as Garth 'Bar-Uncle' that curved his rage, giving him other things to focus on other than his fists. Garth taught the boy that he was his own person and that where he came from should not define him. Taken under his wing, the young Jenson was put to work; the elder showed him how a silver tongue could be best used to defuse a situation, how the small suggestions and nudges could persuade people, and most importantly on how drink looses lips. In time, he gained his own sense of revenge from the squabbles in his childhood in the form of sore heads and delicious secrets.

Yet as he reached the cusp of adulthood, the Wick sought to grow from the home that had taken him. Knowing it was time to make his own mark on the world, he made the necessary moves to find his own feet. He eventually scraped together the funds he needed to open his own establishment - a Pub to be more precise - during the Spring of 2687. By late summer, the Bear and Boot had opened its doors to the general population, and the Barkeep took to pulling pints and catching the last bits of gossip. He said his goodbyes to his family, tucked his Almanac under his arm and began to find his own way in life.

And up till now, that was his fate.

Housing: Pub "the Bear and Boot"

Jenson lives on the attic of the Bear and Boot establishment and within its mansard roof. It is accessed by going through the pub itself and up the steep set of steps behind the bar. When one climbs up them and they are greeted by an open plan room with two sash windows within the street walls. A stone hearth travels up the north wall, forming a focal point in the room, the bare beams of the roof on open display. The rest of it is best described as a disorganised mess. A straw mattress is pushed beneath the eastern windows, a blanket thrown over it in a poor attempt for a bed. The chest hangs open at the foot of it, while the table is stacked with plates and half-eaten meals. The rest of it is notably bare however, devoid of any real mark of its inhabitant.

Townhouse - actual lodings above the bar. 20ft x 20ft (400sqf). Cellar (10ft x 10ft, 100sqft) is by the front and behind the bar with a locked exterior entrance. The Pub sits on a corner in the lower class.

One House Cat - Answers to Beatrice (as well as "Your Majesty" and "Your Highness"). Primarily used to catch mice. Has short grey fur, large yellow eyes and ears that fold downwards. Exceptionally placid and relatively good-natured (though a little stubborn). Often sits at the bar corner with her legs stretched out and paws on her belly, or asleep on her back. Is about 3 years old.
