Physical Description
Lilanee (Li-lahh-nee) is not your typical Hessean, given her father was Anaxi she has inherited his untamed curls, bright periwinkle eyes a vague tinge of red to her brunette locks and freckles, though she retains the tan skin and full lips of her mother's Hessean heritage. Standing at a rather Anaxi height of 5'3" she often wears her shoulder length curls loose and free, reluctantly capturing it in a bun to an attempt to control its wild nature. Her tan skin sports a heavy smattering of freckles, and often finds herself mistaken as Mugrobi,
Well dressed when outside of school uniform, Lilanee favors autumn colors that compliment her skin tones, and is quite easily seen in a blouse, jacket and trousers over dresses if given the chance. She is often carrying books in her arms, and a satchel on her shoulder, and her favorite accessories are a quill and a notepad.
Personality
Whilst she appears to be a quiet, keep to herself sort of girl, Lilanee is in fact quite the opposite. She is wild, outdoorsy and adventurous, with no regard for whether she should do something before actually doing it. She is easily excitable and can become loud when something sparks her interest. She laughs and smiles easily, and loves to get physically involved in her studies. Hands on, as it were. She loves to speak her mind and will often add random trivia to conversation, whether requested or not.
Due to her rather loud and excitable nature, Lilanee find's it a challenge to maintain a friend group. She is often cut from social circles as people can't keep up with her comments or her conversation, and the teenager finds herself seated alone more than she would probably like. But, in true adventurer spirit, she doesn't let this bring her down. Rather than moping, she will bury herself in study or find her way into the crypts to explore the curiosities found there. Lilanee has developed a bit of a thick skin, and outwardly the shunning of her peers seems as easy as water off a ducks back. Privately, she has her moments of weakness. It is lonely to be an outsider after all.
Lilanee has a fairly straight forward Anaxi view on racial differences. If you are a galdori, you are superior. Passives are dangerous and should be put away for their own good, and wick's are filthy half breeds that would sooner steal your purse than look at you. Perhaps the only group she holds a mild difference of opinion on are humans, as her Hessean histories teach her that humans are smarter than the galdori give them credit for.
Lilanee holds no religious views, a strong influence of her mother's Hessean culture. She doesn't believe in the Gods, and believes everything can be explained by science. She has however, picked up her fathers mannerisms of using the gods in her exclamations.
Backstory
Lilanee's father, an Anaxi professor by the name of Jonathan Emmett, was a well known historian in his teaching days at Brunnhold. As part of his studies, Jonathan enjoyed the investigation and study of historical artifacts and animals, and rather than waste his years away in the university the man became an explorer and an adventurer. Scouring the world for ancient relics and unusual or undiscovered creatures. His travels brought him to the Kingdom of Hesse, where he found himself miserably lost in the flatlands of the barren country. Luck would strike his way though, as Lilanee's grandfather stumbled upon the man whilst supervising a gold prospecting mission. His daughter, Alethia Kuleda, took to nursing the dehydrated and delirious man back to health. In his half-sane view, the olive skinned woman was Godsent, and he immediately fell in love with her. Of course, Alethia rebuked his requests to marry her, seeing the puny Anaxi explorer as a fool and a weakling, though over time he proved his strength and worth with her people. They married, though in Hessean custom, the woman kept her last name and eventually they bore a child.
It was at the birth of their child that things took a sour turn for the Kuleda family. Alethia's father had a mining tragedy, causing the whole network to shut down and therefore end any decent income for their name. It made no sense to stay in the failing country, and so they moved back to Anaxas whilst Lilanee was still just a tiny babe.
Whilst growing up in Anaxas, Lilanee was taught to respect the natural world and the animals within it from her mother, feeling a deep connection with the wilderness of the country rather than its stone buildings. The family settled in Brayde county, a quiet cottage tended by passives her father acquired through the university. Her father would often them on his shorter trips, and so Lilanee developed a passion for exploration and travel as she dug around in the dirt with her little spade and brush, cataloging finds in her journal and learning about the usefulness of the trees and plants around her. The youngster found herself fascinated however, with the remains of things long since gone. Animals, people and relics. This interest would follow her into Brunnhold when she tested a modest five at her coming of age.
Delving into Physical conversation, with a smidge of living, Lilanee has dedicated her formative years to the science of biology and the research of historical texts. She is the founder, chairman, treasurer and only member of the Brunnholdian Amateur Archaeologists Club. She has held a meeting once a month, every month since starting the club, and remains confident that eventually someone will show interest. To support her career path, and following in her father's footsteps, Lilanee volunteers for extra credit by working as a junior researcher in the Historical wing of Brunnhold, carefully caretaking and cataloging antiques and curiosities.
Recently, her father has left Brayde County to head towards the north east of Anaxas, with a strong confidence he will find something incredible there. Unfortunately, neither Lilanee nor her mother have heard from him in weeks, and they are starting to worry. Jonathan however, has been missing before, so there is not yet cause for a search party.

At present, Lilanee is focused on finishing school and graduation, though she is concerned about her father and wants to be sure he returns sooner rather than later.
For the longer term, she has a keen desire to explore Vita and the Lost Cities. There is a vast gap in their galdori histories that might very well be found in those cities, could they just get past the dangers of the hatchers.
