The Night Blossom • Anaxas/Old Rose Harbor
on the 10th of Hamis, 2719 • during the late evening
A s the woman stared at Caina, the assassin let her knife fall from her sleeve and into her hand. There was a moment where she paused, wrist adjusting in preparation to throw, and that was when the Brother- because she had to’ve been a Brother- screamed. Her voice shook the quiet night, and a bolt of adrenaline shot through Caina’s veins.

She stepped forward, prepared to throw, but from her left Firebrand lurched forward, running at the woman. Caina paused then, unwilling to throw with her partner so close to the target. There was a clatter as the pipe fell to the ground- Caina hadn’t even seen Firebrand throw it. As he approached, she moved as well, keeping back a ways as he reached the woman.

The fight was quick- it was even more obvious now, how inexperienced the woman was. She dropped too quickly, unaware that the best way to survive muscle was to stop it before it could reach you. Fired too late, and now she was…

It was then that Caina moved in, bumping her shoulder gently against Firebrand’s as she passed: a congratulations, on the successful fight. A tag-in as well, as she stepped close to the woman, bending down to take the pistol laying on the ground and toss it to Firebrand. Hopefully she hadn’t misjudged, and he would catch it.

Only once the pistol was out of the way did she speak, still using that same accented voice from before. “Aye. I’ll get rid of the body, you keep an eye out. Tend t’ yourself.” Then she knelt, one hand reaching for the woman’s throat to feel for a pulse. And there it was, steady at Caina’s fingertips- if a bit faint.

The knife came out once more- Aodh might see it, might recognize what Caina was about to do. But she didn’t hesitate, drawing the knife clean across the woman’s throat with a well-practiced motion, then wiping it clean on her victim’s shirt. ‘Just like killing sheep’ she thought, flashing back to the first time she’d traveled from the Rose to Vienda. It was there that she met the old storyteller, that her eyes had been opened to the beauty of Vita. A city urchin at heart, she’d never much ventured out into the wild, except to swim at the Drought. But it was there in the wilderness that she’d found something that made sense- something that wasn’t to do with violence and hate, like the rest of the world seemed to be.

Her religion- because that’s what it was, even if she didn’t use that word too often- was a solace from the less savory aspects of her daily life. It was protection.

So when she killed, she didn’t think of it as taking a human life. It was like killing sheep for food. Vitanism held the belief that all life was equal, so why should killing a human be any different from hunting? That’s how Caina thought of it, anyway. Others might disagree.

The knife disappeared back into its sheath, and Caina stood, pulling the body with her and hefting it over her shoulder, then turned for a place to stash it.

They were too far from the sea, and the likelihood of The Wisp and Ava coming out while she was gone were too great. Caina’s eyes roved over the street, finally settling.. up.

Now she turned back to Firebrand, the body still over her shoulder. “Give me a hand. We’ve got to get this body onto the roof.”

Indeed, it was like slow motion, watching the pipe leave Aodh’s fingers even as the girl flinched and pulled the trigger.

Bang….

The first bullet moved through the air, thrust out of the barrel by a spark of gunpowder and a spray of fire, the small round slug twirling through the space between them. It grazed his shoulder, continuing its flight path to smash through the wall of the Night Blossom and into the establishment. As the man’s fist connected with her jaw, the young womans teeth would smash together and shatter, blood and spittle flying from her mouth as she tilted back and fell with a heavy splash into the muddied street behind her.

And then time continued on.

Rain fell harder as Caina approached the still breathing, unconscious girl, washing her crimson blood into the puddle around her as the knife slit her throat with little more than a jerk. A splutter, a gurgle, a choking cough and then; nothing. As the assassin lifted the body, she would feel how light the girl was, how meager and thin she was under her cloak. Her hat had flown from her head, floating on the rivulets in the street, stained brown and red by the water.

“What the clocking hell is your problem Adel—” An older galdori, dark Bastian hair stained with grey and pressed suit barely wet under his mona formed barrier, had appeared from around the corner of the house. His field flared as he caught sight of the two freedom fighters, red shift of rage slanting across his aura. It drew close, as though he was inhaling the invisible force into him.

“You bastards! He howled, the barrier holding back the rain dissipating instantly as he immediately began to utter the monite for Lash. The dynamic duo had mere seconds to interrupt his spell.

Chuckling a little at the other woman’s sneer at the golly comment, Em as she had called herself, nodded and took the rest of the cigarette happily. Taking a deep drag, she breathed out, one arm tucked under the other elbow, feeling that sense of kinship for a moment with the stranger. That moment, in the midst of the chaos, where two girls could breathe freely and laugh about their lot in life.

Then Alyssa appeared.

Looking at the older woman with a suspicious frown, she blinked as her muted green gaze turned back on the first brunette, Em listened in silence as Ava spoke about things that touched her somewhere deep within her chest. She’d moved so much, Gods so much that she didn’t even know there was any other way to live. House to house, always the same. Always a new name, always a new face. Always not quite like the others. Never put to the whoring, never put to the stage. Always cleaning, hiding. Never going outside, never leaving.

“Would you like to be free?”

Always alone.

Her breath caught in her throat with a small gasp, and hot tears burned her eyes. The cigarette was forgetten, smoke trailing from the tip in a slow curl, and her hand trembled slightly. The throb in the other womans voice was a hot poker through her heart, and for too long she didn’t say a word. Finally she remembered to breathe, huffing a short laugh.

“Silk? Is that your pretending name?” She said with a humorless smirk, muted green eyes narrowing slightly as she flicked away the end of the spliff.

“Or is it your for-reals name—” The girl said quietly, crossing her arms and tilting her head slightly.

“—Nellie.”

Bang…

A round lead slug embedded itself in the banister of the staircase, splinters of wood spraying everywhere. All at once Em shouted, drawing back and covering her ears with her hands, and Alyssa snapped out of her daze.

“Time to go.” She snapped, reaching for the freckled girls arm and dragging her towards the back entrance. Em struggled, shoving at the woman who turned suddenly, a knife appearing out of nowhere to press against the underside of her throat.

“Don’t. Just don’t.” The blue eyed assassin said in a dangerously quiet, even tone, glaring into the muted green of the other girls gaze. Em glared back, defiant and unafraid of the woman, jaw clenched as though she was daring Alyssa to do it.

“Time. To. Go.” The brunette said again, lowering the knife and pulling the girl after her. Em looked at Ava, her eyes hard and angry. If Ava didn’t know who she was before, surely she would now.

Shouting followed the trio as they moved through the house, women screaming and galdori men yelling in the confusion. Alyssa flung the door open, shoving Em towards Ava as she ran towards Aodh and Caina.

Aodh and Caina, you have seconds to try and interrupt that spell, and the three girls will appear literally the second afterwards. Please write your actions, but leave them open (eg: Aodh lept towards the galdori, hoping to knock him down or Caina threw the knife, aiming for his head ect). I will dice roll your success for this one as we're in the heat of action right now and there's a few wheels turning. Ava, you are welcome to do any actions as well, but like the other two leave them open and I will dice roll.

Evening, 10th Hamis, 2719
The Night Blossom, King's Court, The Rose
Ava could see that the words had touched the younger woman. The cigarette dangled from her hand, smoke curling from the tip. There was noise in the room behind them, still, but Ava knew she did not hear, and she thought Em did not either. The voices had faded to a distant hum; the thick scent of cigars and cigarettes seemed to fade in the air like so much smoke. Ava trusted to Alyssa to keep her safe, and let herself focus all she had on Em.

But Em’s response was unexpected, and Ava blinked at her, once, letting surprise curl across her face. The name Nellie was like a slap, and Ava jerked back before she could control it, inhaling sharply. Recognition chased shock and pain across her face, and her eyes went wide.

For a moment she had thought the bang of the bullet was the pounding of her heart; she had thought the scrape of pain along her collarbone was her old hurts coming back, not a bit of wood. A dribble of blood trickled over the pale expanse of skin laid bare, and Ava tried to bring the shattered pieces of her life together once more. Here in the Rose; of course it would be here in the Rose. Ava did not scream.

But Alyssa did not hesitate, and Ava followed close behind her. She did not shy from Emelia’s gaze, meeting her eyes without hesitation. There was no anger in Ava’s face - only sorrow, warring with a strange sort of joy.

There was screaming all around them now, as if Em’s shout had kicked off a strange chorus. Women’s and men’s voices both, raised in shrieks and yells, high and low mingling together in an unendurable cacophony. Ava shoved her way after Alyssa through the chaos.

Emelia!

A girl with green eyes and brunette hair, moved around. Annemelia. Em. Of course. More than anything Ava was grateful that the younger woman had never lost her anger, desperately, powerfully grateful that it had not been subsumed wholly into bitterness or beaten down into resignation.

Because Ava, too, had kept her anger, even when she had not dared show it, even when it was only a faint glowing coal at the heart of her. She had kept it, and she had fed to it half a decade of pretend smiles and so much more beyond, and she had survived. And Emmie, too - Emmie too had survived, or at least something of her. If she was not still Emmie, Ava would not mind; she knew that there came a point when one could not cling to the old. She had let Nellie go; there was no small, remembered girl inside her, desperate to be released. It did not work that way.

But she had been Nellie, once, and she knew it. And Nellie had loved Emmie, and Ava had too. Ava did too, whoever she was now.

Alyssa flung the door open and shoved Emelia back towards her; Ava wrapped both arms around her without hesitation, fully intending to keep Emelia back from the conflict before them.

“I didn’t choose Nellie,” Ava whispered, low and fast, almost in Emelia’s ear in her desperate need to be heard. She held Emelia as tightly as she could, desperately aware that if she let go, she might lose the younger woman again, “and I would never have chosen Ava. But Silk,” Ava’s eyes flicked up to the Wisp and Hatcher and Firebrand, only half aware of all the rest of it. She did her best to keep back and out of the way, to keep Emelia back as well.

“Silk is mine, and when I smile it’s because I want to,” Ava promised, all the strength and determination the two women had shared as girls echoing through her voice. She could feel the sharp sting of the scrape on her chest, tingling in the cold, wet night air; she could feel the slap of the wind of the Rose on her face. She could feel her heart, beating desperately fast, with a fear she had never quite forgotten how to feel. “Stay with me this time, Emmie. You choose.”

Evening, 10th Hamis, 2719
When the man came round the corner, reafed in angry magics Aodh's mind raced. He did not understand it's workings or the galdor's aim, but he understood the murderous intent well enough.
From his pocket he pulled the spent pistol and hurled it at the man's head.

Earlier he had thrown his pipe to distract, the pistol however was thrown with deadly intent.

And once more he threw himself after it, as he ran head low and body ready his rage boiled over.

What Aodh saw was the face of the galdor who had ordered his brothers beating, who's thugs had caused Cinad's death. The face of every galdori who had held him down, the face above the boot on the throats of his people.

All he wanted was to close the gap snd get to grips with this jent.

With brass knuckles, fists, boot and furious anger he descended upon them.

Aodh hoped he could get to him in time, and reap his bloody, bare handed vengeance upon his foe.

The Night Blossom • Anaxas/Old Rose Harbor
on the 10th of Hamis, 2719 • during the evening
Clocking Hell. Screams came from behind them, echoing through the walls and windows of the Night Blossom as the bullet broke through wood and- hopefully- avoided bone. At least, one of their own’s. It didn’t matter if anyone else got hurt.

Caina didn’t have much time to think of the consequences of the bullet as the golly came around the corner. There was only the recognition of his field, of the Monite spilling from his lips, and it didn’t matter what the spell was, only that she had to stop it from happening.

The body was still over her shoulder, and Caina let it fall to the ground, dropping in front of her with a heavy thump. She pulled her knife as Firebrand moved forward once more- he hadn’t been stupid enough to put his weapon away, and Caina chided herself. She’d heard the girl yell, but hadn’t prepared for someone to actually come to her aid.

She leapt over the body, going off at an angle while Firebrand headed straight for the golly. If he was able to distract the golly- or at least shut him up- then she might be able to come from behind. A two-pronged attack- was that the proper term?

It was a quick sprint, but instinct overrode thought as Caina changed tactics, moving forward while letting her knife fly towards the golly.

Dice rolls are as follows team:Show
1 - Aodh’s pistol throw misses
6 - Henry’s lashing is a brief but outstanding success
4 - Aodh’s tackle/beating is pretty successful
2 - Caina’s knife is a minor success

You can review all of these in the dice-roll channel in discord. :)

Emelia breathed heavily, straining against the older woman’s arms as she held her, muted green eyes watching the scene unfold before them. Ava’s words brushed her ear, and the teenager made a sound in the back of her throat, a desperate sound of anguish and something else. Something that dragged up from her six year old self.

“Silk is mine, and when I smile it’s because I want to,”

She inhaled thickly, and a half sob escaped her, tears blurring her vision as they stood together on the threshold of the doorway.

As Aodh’s pistol sailed through the air, it missed the man by a good foot, flying over him and landing in the muddy waters of the street they now stood in. Even before it hit the ground, even as Firebrand churned his legs to get towards the galdor, the spell had begun. It was a good cast, and his field hummed with living magic as thick stinging lashes rained down on the two would-be kidnappers. Aodh took the brunt of the spell as he closed in on the golly, nasty welts raising on his face and upper body, blood pooling just under the surface. Henry, as he was called, snapped the end of his spellwork off sharply as the brute reached him and they stumbled together.

“I’m no Viendan softcock you erse.” The golly growled in his ear, lifting his arms to try and protect himself from the blows of the knuckle dusters as he started to utter more monite, blood and spittle trickling from his mouth into the mud. Around them the rain fell even harder and the sky burst with a flash of bright lightning before rattling the very buildings with an almighty crash of thunder.

As Caina threw her knife, she would catch the man in the shoulder, hitting the bone and bouncing to the ground. Henry cried out in fury and pain, catching a fist to the face and falling to the mud, yet onwards he cast.

“Move!” Alyssa yelled as she continued running towards the two Freedom Fighters, knives in her hands and black hair plastered down in the rain. The ground around them began to tremble, and a deep rending sound could be heard over the top of the rain. Henry was almost yelling his spell, delirious rage in his eyes as he looked up at them from the mud. The Wisp didn’t hesitate, drawing her blades back and striking them across his throat to cut vocal chords. He gurgled in pain, reaching for her as around them the rumbling stopped. They would feel a deep, dragging ache in the back of their necks, and a taste of charcoal in their throats. For Aodh, he would feel the mona withdraw from the immediate area, the lack of their presence a keen roar like that of utter silence.

“Get us to our rides, we need to get out of here. Right now.” She said darkly, barely hesitating as she moved back to Ava and Emmie. As she reached for the freckled teen’s arm again, Emelia shrank back from her, teeth grit and green eyes brimming with tears.

“Where are you taking me?” The young woman asked angrily, but Alyssa didn’t answer, dragging the girl with her through the torrential rain and thick mud, uncaring if she stumbled. They moved, following Caina as she took the unlikely band of kidnappers through the weather towards where she’d stored their horses. As they moved to mount, Emelia looked back at Ava, shaking her head. There was something there, a small flicker of something from so long ago, something that hadn’t burned for years and years.

Hope.

“Is this my rescue N—Silk? Is this where I can choose now?” Alyssa shoved her towards the horse, pushing her to climb up, moving to at Ava.

“You and I. Words. Later. For now, keep her on that horse. If you try anything funny with her, I’ll kill you.” The assassin said coldly, waiting for the woman to mount behind Emmie before finding her own ride. Drawing her horse into check and looking at Aodh and Caina to be sure they were both ready, Alyssa kicked her steed into action.

As they pounded through the rain, muddied water splashing up around their legs and foam building on the flanks of their horses, the Wisp would glance behind them and swear. There were two colossal banderwolves, black as the night above them with eyes flashing yellow in the darkness, barreling towards the trio with snarling teeth and rending jaws. Amid the rainfall shouts could be heard.

“Hatcher! Take the nine, I’ll take the four. Firebrand, Silk, keep heading for the woods between the Rose and Vienda.” Pulling her mount hard around, Alyssa turned her horse directly on the wolf to the right of them, ignoring its terrified scream as she threw herself from the saddle and rolled across the wet ground. Lighting cracked above them again, illuminating the scene around them. Dirty and dripping wet, the Wisp drew her blades, legs slightly bent as she stared down the beast.

Ava and Aodh, you are riding for your lives, but you still need to clear the Kings Quarter and the rest of Old Rose. Caina, you can choose to stop and face the second wolf on the left to give Ava and Aodh an escape, or you can choose to try and flee with them. As per before any actions against NPCs (chroves included) I will dice roll if you leave them open ended. About two posts and we will be done too.

10th Hamis, 2719

As the galdor’s magic slammed into Aodh’s face he almost reeled away, he gritted his teeth and snarled against the pain as slammed into him. Aodh rained plows on the galdor trying to stop him from casting again, the man could fight Aodh struggled to land a decent blow.

Silk and the Wisp dragging some girl burst from nowhere it seemed to him, the galdor he was fighting went dead limp. The magic that had been building like a wave vanished and Aodh's head swam briefly, then all was running into the dark back for the horses.

He leapt aboard his mount and with a shout they where off.

When Aodh heard the baying of the hounds behind him his blood ran cold, he risked a glance behind him and wished he hadn't.

Worse than hounds, far worse clinging on for dear life he kicked his horse in a break neck gallop. It had been a long time since he had ridden along side his clans caravan.

There was no bravery in him now, only a mad terror, he'd seen close up what hounds could do to a body if they caught you, far to close.

Aodh half heard Wisps words, he marshalled his terror put his head down and rode hard.

Over the rushing wind and slashing rain he yelled across to Ava.

"No matter what, you keep goin'. Get you an her to safety!"

Anything came for them he'd do what he could, even if it was just slow it down.

Evening, 10th Hamis, 2719
The Night Blossom, King's Court, The Rose
T
here was a moment where Emelia strained against her arms, and Ava didn’t know if she’d be able to keep her hold on the girl. She was speaking as softly and quickly as she could, holding Emmie close and trying to get through to her.

Ava heard a thick inhale of breath and a choked sob; she didn’t let go, but something in the grip was more like a hug, then, and Emmie didn’t fight her anymore. There were no tears in Ava’s eyes, though, and she watched Firebrand, Hatcher and the Wisp descend on the galdor, and she wondered if the three of them together would be enough.

“Go with her,” Ava whispered urgently to Emmie, releasing her to the Wisp. She wished Alyssa hadn’t interrupted; she wished she’d had a little more time to talk to Emmie, to explain. But things had moved quickly, too quickly, and Ava followed the rest through the pouring rain. She was soaked to the skin, her hair hanging long and heavy down her back, and her teeth chattered, but she kept moving.

Ava balked at the sight of the horses. She had never ridden as a girl, and she had certainly never ridden in Vienda. She could count the times she had been on a horse on one hand, and she didn’t really need all of her fingers. She was shivering with the wet and cold, but she gritted her teeth and approached the mount, raising her eyebrows at Alyssa and not otherwise responding to her threats.

She could, Ava thought, work with that dynamic, but protecting Emmie and herself against Alyssa wasn’t a good long term approach. It could keep Emmie to her now, but it would build resentment later; it would make it harder for her to trust Alyssa. Ava didn’t know what Jon and Alyssa and Ceres wanted from Emmie, and she didn’t need to know. She didn’t doubt that it was better than those houses.

Ava gritted her teeth, hiked up her skirt to reveal the thin white bloomers beneath, and pulled herself onto the horse, squirming on her stomach if she had to. She was shivering with the cold and wet, but she turned to Emmie and she smiled through it.

“Right now we have to keep you safe,” Ava said, firmly, squeezing Emmie’s arm with her hand. “We can’t talk now but - please, don’t tell me you’d choose that place.”

Ava wrapped her hands in the reins, and found the posture she knew she was meant to sit in. Her teeth were chattering. Horses smell your fear, she thought; she couldn’t remember who had told it to her. No fear, then, Ava promised herself; no fear. She kicked the horse with as firm a motion as she had seen Aodh use, and it leapt into motion, pounding along the streets through the pouring rain.

Ava looked up at Aodh as he spoke to her, his voice barely audible over the snarling banderwolves and the roaring rain, and nodded. She glanced back at Emmie, one last time, letting whatever strength she had left fill her face, and then all Ava could do was to look forward, and try to hold on.

King's Quarter • Anaxas/Vienda
on the 10th of Hamis, 2719 • during the evening
F irebrand threw the pistol, and Caina registered its arc as it flew past the galdor. Her knife soared soon after, but it was too slow to compete with the Monite tumbling from Henry’s mouth. She was too far away to feel the air change, but not too far away to mistake the bright red welts breaking out along Firebrand’s skin. It must have been painful, but he didn’t slow or waver as he bore down on the golly.

Her knife reached him now, landing a solid blow to their enemy’s shoulder. He cried out, fell to the ground, but kept speaking, his voice only just reaching Caina’s ears. She’d been about to start forward when the shout came from behind, and she froze. Alyssa darted towards the golly as he started to yell, and the ground started to tremble. Caina stumbled and almost fell. She recovered as the Wisp pulled away from the body, toward the girl.

She didn’t hesitate to lead the way- it was a short run through the back alleys towards where the horses were tied. The rain had picked up, and lightning flashed occasionally on the horizon.

Caina was quick to mount, waiting for the others to do so and then taking off, leading the way through the streets and to their exit. But it wasn’t long until they hit an obstacle.

Hatcher had never been one to deny an order, and she wouldn’t start now. Caina mimicked Alyssa as soon as she saw the banderwolves. In an instant her actual knife was in her hand, covered with black soot like the others, though some parts of the metal shone through.

If a banderwolf landed first blow, you were as good as dead. With their claws, teeth, and size, they had the overall advantage. And Caina was facing one head on. She moved, quick as she could, jerking to the side in an attempt to get around the beast, wrap her arm around its neck to pin it, and slice its jugular.

The sky flashed brightly again, lighting up the world around them in a muddy chaotic mess, the two banderwolves like dripping ghouls in the pouring rain. Their fur was matted and heavy, splattered with dirt from clawed feet to barrel chests, yellow eyes fixated on their quarry with snarling muzzles and gnashing teeth. In an instant it was dark again, and the sound of heavy hooves pounded past the assassins.

“Come on you ersehole!” Alyssa snarled at the beast, shifting her grip on her daggers as the banderwolf moved towards her, large paws sinking into the wet ground with each menacing step. It was trying to circle around the woman, side stepping as it went, watching as the brunette turned to keep her eyes on it. She blinked away the rain as it lashed down on them, her concentration broken for just a hair of a second, but it was enough. The clever creature came at her, mouth open and paws outstretched as it launched at the Wisp.

She twisted, attempting to turn and swipe at its exposed side on the way past, but she was too slow and found herself going down under the beast. She abandoned her daggers to bury her hands in the thick fur around its jaw, straining to keep rending teeth inches from her own face, ignoring the slashing of wicked claws through her skin.

Caina’s immediate attack was unexpected by the violent beast, it flinched, lashing out at her with snapping teeth far too late. As she lept at the banderwolf, she would feel the rush of air from its rapidly closing jaws even as her arm wrapped into thick wet fur. The wolf yelped, writing to reach her, but the advantage was hers. She would feel her knife pierce through fur and flesh, and warmth would flow across her arm, vividly noticeable against the chill of the rain. The great canine made ungodly sounds as it thrashed, stumbling to the ground. Once. And again. The third time it didn’t stand, laying in the mud as its heart pumped its life force away.

“Hatcher!” Alyssa roared, cheek pressed against the street as the other wolf continued to claw at her, spittle falling onto her chest and face as it snarled and snapped for her flesh. Getting her legs up, the older woman wrapped her legs tightly around its body, trying to twist it away from her and snap its back. But the rain had made its matted fur slippery, and she was unable to get a strong enough grip. It’s breath was death, hot and horrific against her skin. Her fingers were slipping and if Caina didn’t get there soon, there wouldn’t be much left of the woman.

Emmie clung for dear life, the rain making it almost impossible to see as they pounded through Old Rose. She didn’t talk, she didn’t even try, and she didn’t dare attempt to leap from the fast moving steed. As they raced through the streets, Ava and Aodh would hear other horses behind them, though they would soon fade out. Voices would catch on the wind for a second.

“…think they went this way!”

“…towards the Isle!”

The inexperience Ava had in horsemanship was not unnoticed, the two girls bouncing in the saddle painfully as their horse navigated its own path forwards. Aodh would see them pass him, the chestnut creature snorting and huffing with exhertion, hooves digging up muddy ground with each gallop. His own beast wasn’t fairing much better, foam gathering on its flanks as they ran. They burst through the gates of the Kings Court, the two guards they had seen there now long gone to the call for aide at the Night Blossom. Onwards they rode, through the Quarters Ford and Sharkswell, the buildings little more than blurred scenery as they passed.

Almost without warning, the horses both took the low wooden fencing that depicted the edge of the Rose, leaping over with a sense of grace only to stumble on the landing. Aodh would keep his seat, albeit not without a searing pain only experienced by menfolk a few times in their life. Emmie and Ava however did not take the landing as well, both women nearly launching over the neck of the horse, Emelia’s nose smashing into the hard skull of their steed. Settling back in their seats, the three riders would find themselves holding on without direction, thin branches of passing tree’s whipping against their arms and faces as the horses ran themselves out. Eventually they would slow itself down, and finally would stop, legs apart and heads down, shaking with exhaustion. If they were to look where they were, the trio would be able to see they had made it into the woods and up on a rise that allowed them to see the Rose below them. From her place on the horse, Emelia swore thickly, wiping blood from her lips where it trickled from her nose. It wasn’t broken, but it was bloodied.

Hi guys! Okay! Aodh and Ava, you guys are safe for now, though you do have a bleeding Emelia and some minor injuries. Caina, you’ve got some action to do there, good luck! Same as before, write out your moves and I'll roll for success.
