A bear of a man, Marius stands at 6’0 tall and weighs 200 lbs. He has a friendly smile and gentle, hazel eyes. His short brown hair has grey streaks. He has a trimmed goatee. His chubbiness gives him the appearance of a teddy bear if any kind of bear. He wears a blue shirt with leather padding overtop, leather pants and black boots. His belt has a dagger and a towel in it.
Marius is kind and compassionate. People go to his inn not only for (moderate) food and drink, but to converse with him. If you have anything to do with the resistance you can expect to meet the nicest man in the world. If you’re a galdori, however, you’ll have to work hard to earn his favor. He believes that once the galdori are overthrown, it will allow for equality in the races. With people doing what their good at, not what their class demands.
Born to a father named Adrian and a mother named Annabelle. His father worked in a textile factory and his mother did laundry for the wealthy. When Marius was 5 his younger sister, Mary, was born. Growing up Marius had a simple life, playing with children in the slums where he lived, going to be hungry and generally just waiting to be old enough to work. When Marius was 15, his father was arrested by the galdori after he prevented several of them from arresting a man they were chasing. Adrian was scheduled for execution but on the day he was supposed to be killed, the resistance freed him and recruited him to work for them, specifically a man named Edgar Maplethorne. Adrian Dorian delivered pamphlets and other resistance documents for him, until he died in a bar fight when Marius was 28. As a thank you for his father’s service, Edgar’s partner gave Marius a concord so that he could rent the inn he was saving up for. In exchange for her donation, Marius had to use the inn to aid the resistance, which Marius was happy to do. He rented the inn and called it "The Blue Moon". Marius’ sister also works in the inn as a barmaid. When Marius was 30 he married a lovely girl named Bonnie, they were married happily for three years before Bonnie died giving birth. The boy she was giving birth to lived, and Marius named him Adrian after his father. The boy looks almost like an exact copy of Marius, just slimmer and without grey hair and the goatee.
