Physical Description
It is rare for Kestrel to be mistaken for anything but a wick. Though she stands at an average height of 5'3", she is long of limb, and her skin is olive toned and kissed by the sun. Her features are an amalgamation of her heritage; a mixture of hox, anaxis, hesse and mugroba. Many a person has compared her unique features to that of a feline, with slightly angled, almond shaped eyes, yellow irises and a long, straight nose. Her eyebrows are sharp at the corners, and her lips are full and rounded and never without an upraised smirk.
Long, dark umber tresses fall just above her mid back, kept secured in a loose braid while conducting her duties, or left unbound when unwinding from a long day. What scars she has recieved along the years are hidden beneath dark clothes accented with pops of color. Her favored styles include leather corsets, hooded coats and form fitting pants. It is rare to see Kestrel in flowing gowns or dresses, except for particularly fancier occasions or revelry. Shoes are only worn when the young thief isn't trying to partake in larceny or spying.

Personality
Rarely the center of attention, Kestrel prefers the shadow to the spotlight. Although the girl grew up an acrobat and performer, she merely learned to act in a way to draw attention, rather than truly feeling any need to socialize at all. Her values lie on a very thin, grey line, changing like the direction of the wind depending on her current goal at hand. Outwardly, the thief may appear cold, distant and even abrasive, but while she had erected mental walls to block off the hurt, the prejudice and the hatred of the world around her, in truth, the wick feels deeply. Her loyalties run deep once it has been earned, and it is rare for her to turn her back on a friend.
Morality in the henchwitch is of no consequence, however. Her past has led her down a dark path and sometimes, darker thoughts, and the wick will choose whatever path will lead her to true freedom and ultimately, power.

Backstory
- Maeve Savea was born to wick parents on Muluku Isles. They were travelling acrobats and performers who also worked in a circus.
- At the age of 12, Maeve was kidnapped by slavers while heading out on an errand for her mother into the market.
- Maeve was sold to an owner who kept her as a runner; sending messages to different businesses in Anaxas.
- During a rough time, she met Aerra around this time, establishing her worship of the mythic beast.
- Maeve was again sold at 15 to a brothel and renamed Kestrel, for the girl she once was is now dead. Kestrel worked in said brothel until she was 18, when Silas Hawke recruited her into his services. At this point, Kestrel gave herself the surname "Halfwolf", for a belief that she would no longer be the sheep, but reborn again, as the wolf.
- Silas Hawke notices her aptitude for magic and has her trained further in Old Spokes and in gunplay and spying.
- Kestrel learns thieving after meeting a rogueish con artist named Flynn Serra. She fell for the guy, but he ended up double agent for the Drain. Silas ordered her to hunt him down and kill him, which she reluctantly agreed to do. It broke her inside.
- Promoted to Henchwitch at around age 20, has been at Silas Hawke's side ever since.
